This site uses no cookies
The site consists of static pages and installs no cookies of any kind, neither technical nor for profiling purposes. There are no analytics tools, tracking pixels, embedded social network content or interactive maps.
Typefaces are hosted on our own servers: viewing these pages involves no connection to any third-party service.
For this reason, no prior consent is requested in order to browse the site.
Data collected and purposes
1. Browsing data
The systems that deliver this site automatically record, for the time strictly necessary, certain data whose transmission is inherent in the use of internet protocols: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type and operating system.
This data is used solely to ensure the correct operation and security of the site and to detect possible abuse. It is not used to identify visitors, nor combined with other information.
Legal basis: the controller’s legitimate interest in the security of its own information systems (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
2. Data provided voluntarily to contact us
The site contains no contact forms. Those wishing to request information or a quotation write to us by email, telephone us, or contact us via WhatsApp. In that case we process the data communicated to us: name, telephone number or email address, and the details of the service requested (dates, route, number of passengers, any particular requirements).
This data is used to respond to the enquiry, prepare the quotation and, where applicable, deliver the service, as well as to meet the resulting tax and accounting obligations.
Legal basis: performance of a contract or of pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject’s request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); compliance with legal obligations as regards tax and accounting records (Article 6(1)(c)).
Provision of data
Providing the data referred to in point 2 is optional but necessary: without it we cannot respond to a request for a quotation or deliver the service.
Recipients
Data is neither disclosed publicly nor sold to third parties for commercial purposes. It may be processed on our behalf, and only to the extent necessary, by the following parties:
- Netlify, Inc. — provider of the infrastructure that delivers this site. This involves a transfer of data to the United States, subject to the safeguards set out in Chapter V of the Regulation.
- Our email service provider, for the management of the info@caronitours.com mailbox.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., only where you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, under that service’s own terms.
- Tax and accounting advisers, for statutory obligations.
Data may also be disclosed to the competent authorities where required by law.
Retention period
- Browsing data: retained for the technical period necessary for security purposes, and in any case no longer than a few months, save for enquiries by the judicial authorities.
- Enquiries that do not result in a booking: retained for as long as useful for any follow-up, as a rule no longer than twelve months.
- Data relating to services actually provided: retained for ten years, as required by Italian civil and tax law.
Your rights
You may at any time exercise the rights set out in Articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and portability.
To do so, simply write to info@caronitours.com. Requests are free of charge and answered within one month.
If you believe your data is being processed in breach of the Regulation, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or bring proceedings before the courts.
